I'm cutting some large shapes on a detail the first 2 cuts are angled and the last one is a land cut. My question is when I post it out using subprograms I have a stop point programed so I can pull the slug when it burns through and on the other 2 passess I dont need it to stop. The post is outputting a block delete / and I rather it output an M01. Where in the post might I find the string I need to change to have it output m01 instead of block delete I guess that's my real question? confused.gif

That gives me the M01 I wanted it leaves the / in but as long as the block delete isn't turned

on it should work.

I have another question. I'm cutting taper on the first 2 passess and land cut on the last pass. Only thing is when you select taper it post the angle in the sub-program and it actually needs to be in the main program other wise all 3 passess are cut on the taper angle.

I usually don't use sub-programs programming because the openings are smaller but these and larger and a lot of little lines so I decided to program it using subs to hold down on program size.

under your contour parameters there is a tab with a drop down that allows you to cancel taper angle after the amount of passes you dictate.

it allows you to taper all passes..

cancel taper after pass...

or apply taper after pass...

have you checked that out to make sure that is set correctly..

should be able to do this in one wire path contour... set the rough with your taper angle and set the number of skims you want canceling taper after pass number.. then set your number of skims to your liking. it should post out with taper in your first sub..then none in second.

That's how I normally do it. I tell it to cancel taper after pass 2 and it does. But when I told it to out put subs it only outputs one sub and it has the angle in it. But what I do is remove the angle from the sub and place it in the main on the line with the e-pack and offset and feedrate and that works but if I could get it to do it without manually modifiying the program would be nice.

Here's what it post out if I check cancel after pass

This is how I modify it and it works but if I could edit the post to post out like this would be nice. Then you'd only have one sub for all 3 cuts.

You say you are subbing the main program (The part contour). Could you just change the A in the post to A=H50 for example then in the main program have H50= what ever taper you want. So H=0 would not cut taper and H=-5.0 would put a 5 degree taper in the part.
