saw a demo at Westec today..couldn't get a firm release dates.. best I could do was "before the end of the year"

A programmer at my work seems to believe this will be included in X3. Is this right? I'm not so sure.

No they are two seperate products. They will contain many common features though.. so common

that you will be able to import MC-in-SW toolpaths into X3...

Another question on this. Does this do any good for a company that already has MC and SW? Or who will benefit from it the most?

A company that already has MC and SW would see the greatest benefit from the software. Personally I do 90 percent of my work in SW, electrode design, fixturing and set-up assemblies, EDM set-up sheets and bill of materials among others. I am doing all of my 2D Mazatrol programming with another SW imbeddeed software. The only time I leave the SW enviroment is to do MC programming. If the MC software is any good, a user will be able to create toolpaths in the SW assembly mode which is a great benefit for me because I am already creating assemblies for set-up docimentation. fixture collision avoidance would be a big benefit of this technique. So if you already have the software then YOU would be the biggest benefactor

MC inside of SW will be the way I go in the future. Been waiting for this a long time.

Currently own both Lic. will combine when its time.
