Hi everybody

I have a situation where I have drawn solid like flat face and now I am trying to draw same impression as 1/4 ball tool will make if it make a small slot in length with the depth of .1

On the solid face I draw the primitive as a sphere on the correct positon and try to extrude cut in length to some distance both side but I think I cannot select primitive and extuede cut. Any thought will be helpful

thanks

File back at you. I took and create a circle in the right view. I then moved it translated it up and down .1. Close the shape through the center of the 2 spheres and then also tangent on the outside. I then close then trimmed to make a close solid I could revolve. I used solid revolve and cut as the method and there you go. I also changed your square to chains verses trim I like this method over trim so I did that for you as well. File is named RAK_SOLID HELP_2_CRAZY.MCX in the same folder on the FTP.

Look at the right view. I create a square to the size you want then I create a 2nd square as a dummy square this give you the ability to use as a cutting body. If you use only one it will wipe out the part, by using 2 chains you create a pipe to cut away from the body. You can do this for any shapes a Hex, Half radius half square, all types of things and very easy as well.
