Fanuc data Server

trying to setup the ethernet connection to a Data Server on a Fanuc 16i.

Using WFTPD on the PC.

The ping test works both ways, but I get an error at the control when I try and list the files.

Looks like I have a problem setting up the user and password on the PC (see copy of log from FTP side below).

I created the user name on the PC, and tried with and without a password.

Any ideas.

not familiar with this software but the software I use requires a profile set up within the software itself and not a user profile with the pc.. I use the serv-u ftp software.. works great for me.. hth

did you set a user/password in the control?

Can you load from the pc to the control?

 

Edit: make sure you have the ethernet line in the correct port. For the data server the port is on the data server board.

And remember it is case sensitive at the machine

User Name and Password was my problem previously. Also the firewall has to be set correctly.

That was it. I added the user and folder name to the FTP software and we are up and running.
