mouse wheel zooming in MCX2 MR2

I have been using MCX2 (initial release) since it came out and have gotten quite fond of the dynamic zooming using the mouse wheel. It anchored the center of the zoom @ the current mouse location, and zoomed in/out depending on the direction that the wheel was rolled. My employer recently bought me a new computer, and MCX2 MR2 was loaded into it for me. I cannot seem to get MR2 to perform this zooming with the mouse wheel. Any ideas? Thanks.

settings- configure- screen

 

use free mode in dynamic spin and middle mouse btoon area on thism page as well. One combo of these two areas is what you are looking for.

Thanks for the info Ray H., but I just tried all of the possible combinations. None of them worked. Any other ideas?

Does your mouse driver support the mouse you have?

 

Might need to change that or mouse settings in Windows.

No, it is XP. When I get a chance, I will look further into MLS's suggestion above. I think that may be the problem.

If it is the same in X2 as X go to Settings,Configuration click on Screen. In the bottom right corner there is an option to use the middle wheel as Pan or Spin. Choose pan.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I did not even try to change any of the settings for my mouse, but today the zooming with the mouse wheel worked just fine. We've been having problems communicating with our network connections lately. Maybe that's why.

Now, it's not working again. I guess I am going to just have to pay attention to when this occurs.

is there a mouse control in the 'tray' in the lower right corner of Windows? Right click the icon and shut off.

You might want to see if mouse suites is loaded on your computer in the and and remove software in control panel. Mouse suites caused some weird issues on my new system.
