ProE WF4

Anybody here using Wildfire 4. We are still on WF3 here but I have a project that I need some of the new surfacing tools in WF4. I am going to upgrade but my question is does the MCX-ProE translator work on WF4 models? If not are there any problems with step files?

WF4??!?! We are still using 2.0 here... I would be curious to know this as well tho as there is talk of upgrading to 4 in the near future (talk = about 15 years around here lol)

You will be asking for trouble if you upgrade the first release of 4...

 

Took several patches to get the bugs worked outa 3...

 

Public testing is always the last phase of Beta...in any software manufacturer...

I have a set of bad IGES files that I am working with. WF4 has a new model heal/fix utility for correcting problems with bad import data. Thats why I am considering upgrading to the latest. I know there has been several updates/patches already to WF4. Its downloading now. I will probably do a side by side install so I can keep WF3.

I know when we upgraded to 3 they had a couple gouges and a lot of cussing lol...

 

They shoulda just let me machine it with MC... The critical bugs were mainly in the Manufacturing I think...

We just upgraded to Wildfire 4.0

MC X2 gives me a blank screen when I try to import a Wildfire 4.0 .prt file. I saved the Wildfire 4.0 as a .igs file and MC X2 brought it up okay, but then I have trouble picking edges. Will X3 cure this? Any suggestions?
