change at point doesn't work as i want.

i belive i have some kind of problem with my post.

anyway,it could be great if i had the option to "change at point-dynamic",like in "start point". smile.gif

Another question to CNC : why "start point" doesn't work on 1 entity, like arcs??

Thanks,

Jay,

I'm in v9,and i'm not talking about "start point".

I know i can choose start point-dynamic.

I'm talking about "change at point".

I had to open a windown in aluminum plate with end-mill 16mm,and i bought a new end-mill from Iscar that should do this job real fast.

the problem is at the end of the window, when the end-mill cut and the inside falls.if you disconnect it at the same feed, there is a big chance you will break the tool.and that is why we have the "change at point",where we can change the feeds, rpm,or any other parameters.

I tought it could be nice if we could choose the point-dynamic.

i don't know why,but when i use change at point,it doesn't work how it should work.i belive it's a problem with my post.

I did at least 30 change at's a day for 3 years. I found it easiest to understand by selecting the end of the arc or line instead of the beginning. Selecting the end of the line changes feed for the entire line even though you selected the end. Remember the feed, depth, or rpm you choose will stick until the next change at or the next tool which ever happens first.
