X2 Folks,

High speed Surface finish TP (ToolPaths).

QUES: If I had created a TP and somehow I want to alter my tool. I simply pull down the parametrs and select the respective tool and should simply regenerate.

But No!!

I find the moment I hit select the different tool it changes all/or few among the values set in for that TP.

Any body having similar issue or know why would that be?

Well yes, your values ALL default based on your tool selection, different tool = different default values. If you pick a different tool, I would imagine you would want different values as tool s of different grades, flutes, materiel and diameters require differing values

I had either made some changes to my existing tool, or I had changed the actual tool and my stepover changed on a spiral high speed toolpath if that's what you are talking about. It changed from about .003 to .0256 aproximately.

As usual I was in a hurry to get the job done and I changed the stepover back to .003 and did not try to investigate as to why it changed on me.
