Horizontal CNC Mill

I have a question...

I am programming a Horizontal Mill and I am trying to drill 12 holes at 30 degree spacing around the periphery of a wheel. However when I go to post the operations I get 12 seperate drilling cycles using 12 seperate work offsets ( the back plotting looks great...! ). My question is how do I get it so that I have 1 work offset with 12 rotary moves...? I am using the MpMaster_Tosnuc post from this forum. cheers.gif

Gotta love those Gremlins...!

England's gonna win the World Cup in 2002...!?!?

Guest CNC Apps Guy 1

In you r post, do yu have it set as a Horizontal or as a vertical?

Go file edit post, then look for "vmc" and make sure it's set correctly.

Marc,

Thanks for the reply... Didn't know you could do that... Thank you I learnt a good tip there..!

What post did you use for this...? I have used the MpMaster, the Mpfan & the Tosnuc post from this forum and I seem to get the same kind of thing... I get a new work offset called up with each hole...! Although doing it your way it's all in 1 block but I was just hoping that I could get 1 G81 call up on 1 work offset then 11 moves in the "B" axis. If you have any other ideas I will be more than happy to learn more good stuff from you..!! biggrin.gif

Ryeker, there is another wheel zip called wheel cadcam.zip

this contains the geo and the nc code the way you want it using the same post.

this is done from one oparation.

No need to pick and program each one.

use Automatic and do it once.

Have fun.

CADCAM,

I have done it the way that you have explained to me, everything is fine until I try to post the file. I can backplot it no problem but when I post I only get 1 tool ( the last I used ) and not all 3 like I see in the backplot. Any idea's on what I have done now..??? confused.gif

PS Yes all the operations are checked in the operations manager dialog box....!!!

OK Found the problem.... 2 different NCI file names ( ? ) don't know how I managed that...!
