Exporting solids from MCX2 MR2

Hello,

I've been exporting solids created in mcx2 to our CMM for inspection purposes. The format is .sat and has worked well in the past. However, my latest job caused the cmm software to hang. I then tried loading the same .sat file in Solidworks and that crashed too. So I re-exported the file as an IGES and was able to load it into SW, however SW stated the model had gaps it had to "heal".

Any ideas what could have caused this? The model was made of extruded flat geometry with boolean additions to form one solid body. Also, a couple of small changes were made to the flat geometry and the solid was successfully regenerated.
