Id Grease Grooves calling lathe experts

Ok so I know I've seen a couple post about cutting id grease grooves on brass bushings. I'm trying to use cross contour with the c axis on a helix spline. I'm using x3 with a haas lathe with live tooling. The path I'm trying to achieve is similar to a boring bar with a sharp tip pointing up feeding in with the spindle rotating to create the helix.

I've posted a zip to go in the x3 files folder if anyone would like to take a look at what I've got so far. idea.gif

With the contour type on 3d I get the motion that I want other than the retract, and I would like to be able to step out into the part with dept cuts.......

Any help would be greatly appreciated
