software combination question (newbie)

Is it true that a combination of MasterCAM 2D

and Corel Draw provide at least the same combined

functionality in sign making that a package like

Enroute 3 provides?

I realize that MasterCAM is generally far more

comprehensive, but I'm in the middle of a router

purchase and would greatly prefer to buy just

one piece of expensive software rather than two.

OTOH if using MasterCAM to do signmaking and engraving (among other things cabinet related) is

more difficult than Enroute for this purpose, then I'd be inclined to get both, if necessary.

Look into Mastercam Router

 

goto www.mastercam.com and click on products then the Router Icon

 

It is set up in levels like Mill looks like it is very powerfull for sign making.

Mc 2-d a router post.

You may also look at the rasper to vector stuff

for duplicating custermer logos.

I think that he is needing the engraving capabilities to do sign lettering and I think that if he bought Mastercam Router that he would be able to read Raster files directly and get engraving operations all with one software purchase.

I thought r2v was an add on. but my .02 is the

same as yours , One purchase should make the signs.
