Filter settings

I have set my filter settings thru Screen/Configure/NC settings/Filter settings and saved them, but I notice on some toolpaths the settings aren't being applied. Does anyone know why, or how to set them to where they will be applied for all my toolpaths? I am running V8.1.1 Thanks.

Which toolpaths are not recognizing the change in filter settings. I did a quick test and found that my settings appeared to work

When setting your filter settings you should go to File / New and have A blank file when you set your settings.

I think you have to set them in each individual toolpath default (Screen/Configure/NC Setings/Operation Defaults). This is the way I have done it and it works fine. While your in there, you might want to configure some of your frequently used toolpath settings defaults to your stantards.HTH

I set my filter settings with a blank file as tsmith suggested. It worked fine. Thanks guys! I apprieciate it.

Does this method work with setting any other system defaults? This could solve a lot of problems for me.

It should. Don't forget to right click, and 'edit common parameters' - saves a lot of time.

Hey Greg Mckay, I set my filter setting yesterday and today I ran a "surface rough pocket" and a "surface finish contour" and neither one applied my filter settings.
