  1. Hey Guys, Whats new? I haven't posted in a while, I have moved from Support to Applications where my focus is on Lathe. I would ask Millman for the part but we all know it will work for me. As always if someone has a problem that can be repeated send it up. There have been enhancement to lathe recently and there are enhancements in X4Mu1. Some things that come to mind; "Stock Shade" and "Stock Display" toolbar options. Tool inspection for groove toolpaths. Change feeds and speeds on finish pass in grooving. improved 2d profile performance. What can I do to help with your lathe issues?
  2. Millman, Applications has done some testing on G43.4 and G43.5 at Mazak. We did not use G68 positioning. In order to get G43.4 to work properly we had to change a few variables on the control. I sent you a PM of what we found needed to be set on the control. If you want to send the mcx file I will be glad to enable g68 and then create a nc file with the post that I am using. 4. thanks, tried it on a sample part and could not find a problem.
  5. Hello, Can you provide a bit more information?
  6. Take a look at the aladdin diagnostix program installed with X.
  7. Check out the updated Mastercam web page. http://www.mastercam.com We added a tech tips area to the support section. rs here is a link to commonly asked machine and cotrol def questions. http://www.mastercam.com/Support/TechTips/...FAQ-CtrlDef.htm
  8. I am going to try to explain how to select multiple posts for a single Machine Definiton. select a valid Machine Definition go into Corntrol Definition and select the Post Processor selection box. select add files, in this dialog box you can select mulitple post by using standard windows options(contol, shift). after exiting the add post files dialog box, you will see that when you select the pull down menu for post processors the files you added have been added to the pull down. YOU ARE HALF WAY AT THIS POINT. any post in the list that has a "+" (plus sign) has not been saved to the current Control Definition. select a post you would like to make available to the current Machine Definiton and save the control definiton file, the "+" sign changes to a green check mark, and if you check under Exsisting Definitons the posts you have added will be listed. (TIP)You need to save the control definiton every time you add one additional post. To change the post for an exsisting op select files under Machine Group Properties in your Operations Manager and then "edit!" under the Machine - Toolpath copy heading, that will take you back to Machine Definition Manager and you can select a different post from the pull down menu. When starting a new job you can make the chjange by access the machine definiton manager before select a Machine type. see simple,
