We use a .set file for our setup sheets. Is there a way to direct the .ss files somwhere else? or maby somthing to move the .doc file automaticly away from the .ss?

Where (what folder) is your .DOC file going now?

 

And the answer is YES - to both.

 

1> Do you wish to be prompted each time you do a DOC for a destination folder?

or

2> Do you just want them to always go to a specific folder?

Roger, our .doc files are pathed to a "toolsheets" folder on our server.

 

We wouldent need prompting.

 

And yes we would like the .ss files to always goto their own folder.

You should be able to do that…

Load up your SET file in a text editor (Mastercam Edit, CimcoEdit, etc)

You will want to add a line into the pprep$ postblock.

I added the spathnc$ line just below the existing #sextnc$ line, like this ->

spathnc$ = "S:RMartinSupport" # Override the default output path! <*** NEW ***>

Note - S: in the above example is a mapped network drive/folder.

You can specify a UNC type network path, like this ->

spathnc$ = "nServersharedRMartinSupport"

*Also, don’t forget the final trailing backslash on the path!

Now all the .DOC files that are produced by this Mill.SET Setup Sheet generator end up in that folder.
