Okay guys, need a little help here.I just downloaded the vbs file from the ftp site, how do I use it to convert ge3 files to version 9.1? I have many mc7 files that I want to "mass" convert to 9 then eventually to X3 I have also just reloaded V9 as I realized I probably need that to use this vb script, right?

It's been so long since I've used V9, I may be a little off on this one. Since no one else has replied, I'll give it a try.

If you haven't done so already, put the script in the c:mcam9vb folder. Open MC9 and press Alt+C to browse the chooks. There's a chook called mcamvb... something or other. This is the vb editor. Run that chook. In the dialog box that pops up, you can browse for the conversion script that you just downloaded. Select it and execute or run, whatever the terminology is.

I've never used that script before so I have no idea what to expect after that, but most scripts I've used have been self explanatory.

I hope this is enough to get you going.

Thank you very much for the response, did exactly what you describe and it worked great !! However, every file it converted it "complained" about being corrupt or not a mastercam file or something like that which meant that I had to press the enter key repeatedly to get it to work on the whole directory. So at one point I weighted down the enter key and all was fine from that point on. HaHaHa.Also, you can run the same script in Vers.X3 right from the settings tab.Does anybody know why it "complains" about every file but converts them anyway???? cheers.gif
