Is it my machine or does it seem like it takes 10 times longer now to process a 2d contour (with depth of cut checked) and 2d pockets vs. X2?

I also noticed this morning that when I change the comment under the toolpath parameters page it dirties the toolpath and requires regeneration.

Having the same problem. Contour with depth of cut writes fast on a fresh file with no toolpaths, but as you get a lot of toolpaths, simple contours take forever to write, like 1 min+. I noticed that if you turn off depth of cut and use ramp, it computes fast. Another problem: The toolpath parameters page takes forever to open. Click to contour parameters and it opens fast, then click back to toolpath parameters and it takes at least 30 sec. This problem is on all types of toolpaths, but, again, only if you have a lot of toolpaths in the file. Tried it on multiple work stations and get the same result.

check your memory allocations:

look in the lower right corner

 

try 80%...its what we use here in the training computers

it may be set to autosave after each operation

Memory is 2GB, i've tried different settings up to 90% and no change. Autosave is set for 10 min.

have u checked with your reseller/local tech supp?

autosave writes to a temp file, not the active file. I have not talked to my reseller, but will.

I've spent the last hour trying to figure out what is causing this and stumbled across something. I had complex shape toolpaths (surface finish parallel) that I was mirroring about y axis. I deleted the transform programs and everything works fine and fast now. Do you have transform programs? Looks like a bug, I've got a call in to my Mastercam Reseller.
