Alternate Mastercam Post Editor

I ran across an awesome programmers text editor the other day called JEdit. It's so much nicer to write posts with than the Mastercam editor.

 

I made a quick web page with the config files for editing Mastercam posts. These will highlight the variables and operators!

 

This editor is so cool. super configurable.

 

Once you try the hyper search feature you will never go back!

 

Ohhh, it's totally free too.

If anyone makes any changes to the config files, send me them so I can update the page!

 

If someone makes a g-code config I will gladly throw it up there.

can you undo after a save? to me that is really the main reason I do not like the Mastercam editor for post editing.

 

How is the file compare? Cimco's works well, the plug in for the mastercam editor does not.

Its pretty awesome. You can edit either window while its running and it auto updates.

 

Don't really know about the undos yet.

I just tried doing an undo after a save in the mastercam editor and it works, I wonder when that came along??? I've been using the cimco editor by default for post editing for so long I never thought to try it in the Mastercam editor. That file compare does look nice.

I downloaded It but It doesn't work. It comes with "The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program".

After copying the mastercam files into the modes folder,

it just hangs at "run startup scripts"

on the splash screen.......

Try taking them out and see if it runs.. Try your home folder:

C:Documents and Settings.jeditmodes

really sorry about that. I checked a co-workers computer and I think what might have happened is the control file overwrote the master control file that has lots of required info. I have placed my original control file up on the original web page along with updated instructions and how to fix your broken install.
