Help with surfacing acute angle (V9.1)

A co-worker is working on a part with an island that protrudes from the base at a 6.2 degree tilt (the top of the island is at 6.2 degrees to the base and the walls extend up from the base normal to the top of the island surface.)

 

I placed a copy of that particular part on the FTP site (ftp://www.mastercam-cadcam.com/Mastercam_forum/MC9_files/angle_draft/)-- filename is rough-a.mc9.

 

He has tried several surface finish options to no avail. I suggested we tap the expertise of the forum.

 

We are ordering a .500 lollipop tool for the job.

For an under-cut use surf-contour and uncheck

"Check transion/retract motion for gouge"

in the gap settings box. Thatll get you going.
