wire question

Recommended Posts

most defintely use the G92. AND i would also store my initial g92 as a measure point in the machine g77 p1. in a wire break the wire goes back to the last g92 to repair itsself and retrace. hth

if i understand you correctly i think i do the same thing in a way.i can store machine coordinate positions in the machine and never lose that positioning and can have unlimited pts saved.in the fanuc wires it saves it under codes g77 p1 etc.

what if in your program there was a mistake in a rapid move and the next g92 reset your xy abs. would you still be able to go back to the g54 and that position still be correct?

G54 would be from machine "0" not program

i see now. its basically the same thing as the measure ponts i was talking about. thats just how i was trained in school on the fanuc wires by using the G77 P1 codes.
