flowline toolpath - full arcs

I was working with a flowline toolpath this morning on a circular arced feature. I wanted one way cutting and could not get MC to ouput full arcs. No matter what I did with filtering I could only achieve a broken tool path. In desperation I recreated the solid surfaces thinking that My orginal solid was less than perfect. That did not work either. When I changed to zigzag full arcs were output.

 

Anybody else have a similar problem?

Check your "Control Definition Manager" settings under the heading of "Arc" and see if you are set for full or broken arc output. You must also be certain your machine controller can handle full arc output, as some can't.

 

You can also try using the "Spiral" option (assuming you have a full circle) to create your toolpath. This should also give you "one way" cutting as you desire.

Thanks, I have gone thru the control defs first off. I did not try spiral and will.

flowline can be very tempermental,it works best if its just 1 surface,sometimes you just have to use contour instead
