machine group

Everytime I open the MX2, the machine group will get the old property. How do I set the Mastercam so it will let me choose the one I want?. Thanks

Tom if you want the values to stick you have to set them in the Control Definition Manager. To do this go to settings / control def / then on the tree on the left side click Operations Defaults and open the Machine group + sign and change your values..

Thanks for the reply. I understand what you said, but I need difference thing.

Each time, I turn on the MX2, it taked the machine group with the property and control file from the old machine I used to work on. I had to replace it with the new .mmd. I want the Mastercam leave it blank, then I can choose whichever machine I need. Thanks

try these two things.

 

First go to config / start/exit / set start up product to design.

 

If that isn't enough, delete all the default machine fields in the config.

I had a similar problem before, we (my reseller and QC of mastercam) found that my path in the default.config file was wrong.

 

I you open 'default.config' file you should see the path from your actual installation. Yours is probably set to your old installation. You need to set them at your actual installation.
