i dont know why its is doing this i have tried keep tool down / distance / percent / old arc filter / new arc filter / smoothing on /off / linking parameters and i chained it profile first stock second im out of ideas

 

but it still drives the tool right thru the part

 

 

any ideas

did you try deleting the op and starting over?

Before you start over, re-load your machine def too.

Have you replaced and regenned your toolpath?

 

I have seen this clear it out.

 

Have sent something into to QC on this as well, they could see it in the screen shot but could not reproduce it.

I have had this happen to me several times. Everything is fine, change one parameter and suddenly get the same result you did. I finaly tried exiting out of MC and restarting, then redoing the toolpath from the start and then it was OK.

in the linking parameter page use clearance in absolute instead of retract , i got the same issue and it works well to clear the part works every times

i sent the file into mastercam and i will redo the toolpath and see what happens

deleted the toolpath and started over and all is good now but i have a fresh session of MC so i dont know what made it work
