We disabled the filter in the control panel and things cleared up but I agree its a lesson we could have done without.

Tech support at the reseller didn't say whether to enable or disable the filter, only to check it in the control panel and change it. Sounds almost like they are aware of the issue and want to keep a little dumb about it.

Part has to be re-made. Welding didn't work out good enough.
