mastercam direct

has anybody installed mastercam direct on a 64bit system on solidworks 2009 sp3,i cannot figure out why is not working, is there a patch for it? I try reinstalling it, rebooting etc...

any input will be apreciated.

If you installed the 64-bit version of SW onto that computer, I think you are out of luck.

If you installed thh 32-bit vresion of SW onto that computer, it should work.

It sounds like you most likely installed the 64-bit version (which makes sense since it's a 64-bit O/S, but SW does give you a choice).

there are 2 disks for sw 1 for 32bit one for 64bit and i installed the one for the 64bit,

because this is a 64bit operating system

i have another computer that runs 32bit and didnot have problem at all, is there a fixing or should i just forget at all? just wondering.

I think that MasterCAM Direct is a 32-bit application and won't run 'inside' the 64-bit SolidWorks.

(I think that what Pete is implying?)

 

On a related note then, does that mean that MasterCAM for SolidWorks won't work on 64-bit SolidWorks?

Same rule Pete noted about the 32 bit installation on the 64 bit system applies
