Section Views and Center Lines.

So you are given a print and it has a section view. Now there are dimension for the part on this section view that come from a center line. The main view has a center line going down the middle of the part where all of the other dimensions are taking from. On this section view would you go by the center line for the dimensions or would you go by a solid line that some dimensions are called from???

Typically in cartoons I've seen like this (prolly only seen a half dozen or so of 'em in my short life), CL was the intent. Bult like Bruce, without seeing it it's hard to say.

how about a drawing with a 4x exploded view and this has the dims. at 4x bigger than actual. then this designer tells me you know what i thinken. so i bring his 1.0 x 1.0 x 6.0 bar with 2.0 dia. hole thru the side. [2peices now] don't you know that hole is only 0.5 dia. i said no i just made it to print now sign it off!!!!!
