Advanced 5-Axis Toolpath

When using the advanced 5-axis toolpath, I love the options and functionality but the graphics are incredibly slow and the interface has the feel of a c-hook - is that in fact what it is? Any ideas why graphics take so long to load for each option? I am running X3 on a Intel CoreDuo 2.4 GHz with 2GB RAM. Do I need a faster PC? Thanks for any insight.

Your system is definitely fine - I'm running a 1.8 core2duo, 2gg with a 550M.

I think I had this same problem with an old driver on my videocard.

check to see if there's an updated driver for you. If this is a dell, I've found IT guys notorious for just using Dell install cds when reformatting computers etc. and not updating drivers. (Not mine though Michael if you're reading this; you're great)

We are having this same exact issue! Have you found a fix for this Dfedwards? We are also updating our video card drivers right now. Although I'm doubtful that it will help since this has been sluggish ever since the implementation of the advanced multiaxis and an upgrade to a new video card over the span of a couple year. I thought it was supposed to be sluggish like that just because of the different UI it uses, until I seen how quick it ran on a friends setup!

Hey guys - Ironically I had this exact same issue late yesterday. I had solved it before with a new graphics driver, but this time no dice. Th graphics took 5-10 seconds to appear, especially on the grouge checking tab..

Searching and asking around, someone suggested defragging, and after defragging my hardrive everything runs great. (
