make sure mi6 ( on the MISC page) is set to 0

for all operations

and open your post and set this

use_pitch : 0 #0 = Use feed for tapping, 1 = Use pitch for tapping

to zero

the G94 in at the start of drill cycles should hurt anything

There's nothing wrong with feeding in IPR if your machine supports it. Matter of fact, when I have a gun to my head and I'm forced to tap tongue.gif I use IPR EXCLUSIVELY. I NEVER mess with IPM when tapping.

That is incorrect. IPR is going to be the pitch of the tap. You can't go any faster or any slower than that period or your threads will be screwed up. To go faster, you would just increase your spindle speed and no feed calculation is necessary.

With feeding in IPM, if you change your feed rate, you need to recalculate and change your spindle speed as well. More room for error IMHO.
