OT: Teenage Daughters

My oldest daughter turned 13 today.

All the begging and pleading leading up to today

has paid off for her, she will get what she want's...

A Cell phone

my daughters peer's, parents.

as in "Don't do that to us"

My wife Nixed the cell phone....

Just had my 15 year daughter buy her own cell phone - a pre-paid "Tracfone" for $100 for one year and 150 minutes. No bills, no contracts, no activation fees.

 

It's all on her nickel.

3 daughters aged 15, 19 & 21. It's interesting when they get introduced to my younger brothers, they're both taller than me. I'm 6 foot, 200 lbs and the smallest of the bunch, including in-laws.

My brothers like to give the new boyfriends the gears when they first meet them, just for the fun of it. Only two "keepers" have stuck around after this and the 21 yr old is now married. The 19 is considering it.

It's true. www.tracfone.com. Whenever she runs out of minutes and comes up with the cash she can buy more by buying another card (it's like those pre-paid phone cards you send them off on field trips with).

 

Unless you meant I should expect a "Daaaaadddd.... I need money for more minutes otherwise you won't be able to get a hold of me..."

We have bought the tracfone just like your daughters.Seems like the way to go.

It's still in the closet..

She is already saying: All I want for Christmas is a Cell phone...

Or really "The first person in her circle of friends to have a cell phone"
