Raster to Vector

I recently reinstalled X3 on a new computer with a Quadro 1700 Video Card. I have not been able to get a scanned Raster image to stay on the screen so I can trace it manually. It will show up momentarily, then vanish when I scroll in or out. Is there some graphic setting that I need to adjust? I have the latest driver from the Solidworks site.

I had the sme issues plus a few more with the same card when I got myself a new PC couple of months ago, I went back to an earlier driver (175.51) and it fixed all the problems.

I think it would be best to go directly to Nvidia's website to get latest/greatest driver....

I've tried 5 different drivers and get the same results everytime. Are there any particular settings that I can adjust?

Might try Solidworks support site and grab a certified driver from there. Generally, they work.

Thanks Todd. Unfortunately, I've tried 2 of the latest certified drivers from solidworks and came up with the same results.

I had the same problem not too long ago, trying to do the exact same thing. What I found that helped, was to take all the elements that I was able to place successfully and move them to a different level and then turn them off. Then place some more and when it got too problematic again, move them to the other level.

 

Even with this method there were many frequent (and irritating) moments when the raster image would vanish. It seemed to like certain zoom factors over others. Best I can say is try the above, then zoom in/out a lot and refresh the screen a lot too.

are you running dual monitors? if you are you have to install the solidworks certified driver. then install it again. I had that problem with my setup.

Yep, I have dual monitors. I'll reinstall and see what happens.
