OT changing Geforce->Quadro?

Hi,

Is there a way to use Quadro chipset specifications on a geforce based card,say GF3 Ti200, with just driver or a software?

The old detonator can use unified back buffer but since v6 ,I think , they remove this option from Geforce card and reserve it only for Quadro chipsets.

BTW I heard some people change their GeFore physically and convert it to something like Quadro. Anyone had an exprience?

this can be done with a change in a resister in the other then gforce cards. I do not know about the new ones.

but with the new cards the drivers so fare right out of the box work great in MC.

There is a more simple way to go through this,its called SOFTQUADRO, its a software that changes the Geforce cards into quadro,it uses software rather then changing the resistors manually.

 

Geforce = Quadro

Geforce2 MX = Quadro2 MXR/EX

Geforce2 PRO/GTS = Quadro2 Pro

Geforce 3 = Quadro DCC

All the resistors do is change the board ID.

Talk about a ripoff! They charge way more for a Quadro for a couple of relocated resistors!!

Seems I must download some new drivers 'coz I'm not going to change the hardware.

I tested GeForce Tweak Utility and turned unified back buffer on. But the system nearly halted.

Which of the driver tweaks work best?

If you use Detonator XP V23.11 its the best one,and latest one i found that works.

this is the hyperlink to the step by step instructions ,and you also have on this site where you can get the softquadro software i was talking about and the drivers.it should work well it seems to work for my Geforce 2 gts pro and the GF2 MX,i've tried on these ones and it seems to work good.
