Classes on Post Modification?

Are there classes or books on the posts and how to modify them? And if so where would I find info on the class?

 

We have a few problems in our post and now more problems due to switching to x4, and it would be nice for one of our engineers to go take a class on the post so that we can fix this in house. As well as modifying our existing post to match what we want the program to look like for our newer machines.

CNC software usually does one or two basic post classes a year. Look on the Mastercam website for the training schedule.

Did you ask your reseller if they have post classes or would consider offering one.......I have taken the class at my reseller back at version 7 and the last time was about a year ago......good luck...

I have taken post class from my reseller. They do one class a month, full day.

No I didn't ask our reseller but I will. I didn't think about them.

I talked to my local reseller about it recently. There are no post classes in my area from the sounds of it.

 

My reseller has been very good working with me on any issues and I really appreciate it. Im not certain that if I were to ask them, that they wouldnt spend some time with me on the subject one on one. For a price of course.

I called our reseller today, the guy I talked to didn't think they do that. He did say the Mastercam corporate offices offered a class on posts. He told me to call them back on monday when their head post guy would be back from vacation and talk to him. He seemed kinda bummed out when I asked about it, and I guess that is because we wouldn't necessarily be paying them to modify our posts anymore.

We do them in NJ when people ask for them. Maybe once a year. If you are close to NJ or Harrisburg PA, give us a call.
