Just upgraded to V9 (Yee-haw!) and I still have a problem with the IGES import default settings. I have "Send errors to file" set as the default when importing IGES files, but it still defaults to "Send errors to screen." After I change it, it stays as long as MC is open. If I close and re-open MC, it's back to Screen. Is there a setting somewhere other than Screen/Configure/Files/Converters that is overridding this? Can someone else try this and see if they get the same thing? I couldn't get it to stay in V8 or 9.
