WHy when i merge a file does the entities i merge stay red even though the properties state its a different color. Clear colors doesnt take care of it niether does repaint. Its got me confused!

Go to System Config/Colors

make sure

"Use entity color" is checked

not

"Use group color"

What gcode said is the easiest fix.

 

However, if you do merge something and it stays red, just click on the 'Groups' icon in the lower right corner. This opens the group manager window. Select the group from the list and simply delete it. (This only deletes that single instance of grouping, not the geometry itself.) Then you can hit 'Clear Colors' and the entities that were in the group will all return to their assigned color(s).
