5 Radiused Bore

Hi all

 

I have a bore which is made of 5 radiuses which are blended in to each other. I have to rough and finish the bore. The 2d contour tool path is good for the roughing ie: the tool will follow the contour and will step down 10 mm at a time over the 128mm. The question is what toolpath to finish with that will allow a helixing decending motion.

Copy the same toolpath and turn the ramp option ON.

Without having seen the part, I would suggest a contour toolpath with the ramp option turned on.

 

I have had grest success with it.
