Post Changes on X3

Using MPMaster post...to change arc posting from "R" to "IJK" and also to reverse Rotary direction. Are these type of changes done at Machine Def., Control Def., or by editing actual post as in V9?

Could you explain where in mach def. these changes can be made at? perhaps a screenshot if possible.

Actually it's in the Control Def (which is attached to the machine def...)

 

To make a temporary Change (i.e. - you've loaded a machine def in to an mcx file with some toolpath)

1 - expand the properties icon of the machine group and click the files tab

2 - click the edit button in the machine/toolpath copy section

3 - this opens the local machine def properties window. there's an icon at the top a little left of center (looks like a little tv set with a red dot and a green dot) click it to acces the control definintion

4 - this opens the local control def properties window. click the topic "arc"

5 - you can set each plane (XY, XZ, YZ) independently; radius gives you R's, delta start to center gives you IJK

 

To make the change permanent click the settings menu and go to the machine definintion manager...the processes and dialog boxes are nearly identical but you'll be editing the library copy in the cnc machines folder.
