Mac with mastercam?

I was told mastercam wouldn't run on a mac. But I also was told that you can get windows to run on a mac so why not mastercam?

It's all about what you want to do with your mac. You can use bootcamp to do a dual boot environment to run windows and mastercam or you can use virtual machines to run windows "behind" the mac os. With bootcamp, you have to restart and boot into windows nativly but with virtual machines, you can load mastercam in the mac os because windows is running virtually.

Great answer thanks...and yes I do need help, about $1700 bucks for a new Imac. I notice that you have a breakdown of your equipment under your apple logo. Are there any good deals out there for refurbished macs and do you have any suggestions on which comp. to get?

What are you gonna program for? Mac's are notorious for having under powered video cards for windows

Im a student with an educational version and I want to learn the program with no drawbacks from the system.

Oh shi- sorry zek. I forgot about this thread lol. Well, the new 27" iMac is a fantastic computer because of the i7 they slap in it. But if you want a laptop, I'd wait about 3 months. They will get updated to i3 and i5.
