trim toolpath in Z axis

I'm trying to trim a ruled toolpath but what I want it to trim to is the Z axis, not the x or y. Is there a way to do this?

Try from the front or right plane depending on how the path is cutting

So my chain that I am trying to trim to should be in a dif plane than what the ruled toolpath is in?

If you're trying to trim off some of the Z depth, yeah

Ok, so now it trims the z depth but it gives me alot of moves that do nothing. Goes down to the z depth and rapids up then over to the other end of the ruled toolpath and does the same thing. Down then back up. Does this about 4 times before cutting the rest of the toolpath. Do I have to adjust the size of the chain that I'm trimming too?

Am I missing something? Why not just set max Z depth?

Tried that pip. Nothing in the ruled parameters would trim to the z depth. I checked the z depth for plane 1 and plane 2 and it trimmed my y axis instead.

The wireframe toolpaths, the depth is controlled by the actual geometry, so there is no Z depth per se

Might try using depth control limits.
