C axis engraving

I am having trouble engraving letters on the face of a part using the lathe and the c axis I have engraved on the mill on surfaces, and cylinders but I am new to using lathe mastercam. Machine is a 2009 GTV-27 cubic with a 8055itc control. I would appreciate the help. Thanks

What kinda trouble are you having?

I don't have a y axis and can't get the c axis substitution to work. What plane do I have to be in? Thanks

Are you using a C axis toolpath or a milling toolpath? Do you have wrapped geometry or unwrapped geometry and then using the diameter with a milling toolpath? Are you trying to use a G112 or G113 with this toolpath?

I want to use a c axis toolpath, I want to avoid using G112 or G113 polar interpolaion. I would like for mastercam to calculate the x and c moves without using the G112,G113.. Just don't know how to get started I'm assuming I should use the mastercam lathe but don know what plane or toolpath to select.

And I believe that would be in the Right plane.

I got I thanks! but I don't see the c axis moving in the verify screen. I generated the code and it's correct it uses the x and c axis. Thanks alot

There is a setting to show the C-axis moving but I can't recall what it is.

Don't use verify. Use backplot instead, and draw Geo on the right side. If you get mirror image draw on left side.
