rotated planes

if you have created Cplanes with some unique numbers by using rotating planes (but didn't write the rotation numbers down) is there somewhere in Mastercam to find them? i don't see any such display in the view manager.

Right click any view in the View Manager and hit

Info.. Mastercam will give you the data on all

toolplanes

The info tip does supply a lot of info, but I don't think this is the answer he wants. In the following example I have a constructed plane at 20 degrees of rotation from the front plane. The info provided gives some coordinates that probably calculate to 20° but it does not come out and say 20° anywhere.

it looks like to me that the matrix information gives three coordinate points which appear to define the plane in question - but you would have to do the math yourself to get the angle.

 

i ended up running that part of the program and pulled the numbers off the controller.
