Hello all,

My next project I want to try out Dynamic Milling.

Material is T-6 Aluminum, the cutter I will be using is 1" 3 flute Cobalt FEM Rougher going

1 5/8 deep (2" sticking out of the holder)

20% step over, 1335 RPMs, 32 IMP

More or less??

Thanks

i rearely cut aluminium

but i get very good result with HSS/CO aluminium roughers from niagara (ACB337 series)

try to boost your feedrate to over 150 IPM if your machine can handle it (i use an Okuma MC-V4020 cat50

with a 3/4 i take 2in deep 12.5% step over and 164 IPM at 6000RPM the machine load at about 80-90%

it cut like butter and the cutter live forever wink.gif

PS , i got to add this to the datasheet...
