catia translator

Hi Everyone

Is there any way to load a catia product

Using the catia translator in Mastercam.

I have no problem loading a catia part

Put I’m not able to load a product

Or in other words a catia assemble - all

I get is a blank screen.

Thanks in advance for any help.

the mastercam converter dosnt work, you need moldplus

If you have the Moldplus Catia converter it should load into the file types open utility in McamX4.

 

Or you can go into customize, go to the category drop down, look for Moldplus CATIA Import and drag & drop the icons into your toolbar.

 

I setup a custom drop down and added it to the right mouse button menu

The cat5 converter should open the .catproduct file

Moldplus will open the Catia V5 .CATProduct files. Just make sure you have all the components in the same folder. i.e. Assembly-ABC.CATProduct is made of parts 1, 2 and 3. You need to make sure the files 1, 2 and 3 are there.

 

If all you have is files 1 and 2 then Moldplus will open the assembly but part file #3 will be missing.
