Hello could I please get some help with high speed maching .I am using a Kitamura and programing with mastercam .
When I turn on high speed maching the code is G990 Q1 G05 P10000 .I was told that the P value determines the accuracy
of the tool path . When I try to lower the value of the P I get a fault . Should I have high speed maching turned on
for a Parallel toolpath . Thanks for any help .

Hi Everyone . I'm having a problem with chatter on hass machine using all my tools . It just started yesterday .
It real shows up when your face milling not so much when your surfacing . I checked for backlash on X and Y and it's .001 .
So I'm thinking it may be the drawbar ? The machine is a Vf 1 .... 2004 . It's not the tool because I switched tools with other
machine and still have the problem . Thanks for any help .

Hi Everyone . Could I please get some help with this part . I used 3D Contour to cut
the relief on the back of this die . THe first tool .75 gouged the part in a small spot .
The back side is not that critical part was still ok . Just wanted a better way of doing it .
Thanks in advance .
The file is under X9 3D Contour .
ftp://ftp.mastercam-cadcam.com/Mastercam_forum/X9_Files/3D%20CONTOUR.mcx-9
Hass machines are pre 2000 .Still using a floppy disk .Machine setting is set at .025 . As I understand it corner rounding will start .025 from corner .
Mastercam will set accuracy .
I would use a contour. Just create a silhouette boundary to get arcs to drive the toolpath. Increase the tolerance to get larger arcs...maybe 0.002?
Might be a better way...?
Thanks goooose that did the trick .

Hi Everyone - Could I please get some help with this waterline toolpath . This is not the actual part
I'm machining put the surface is identical . The surface starts 2.5 inches below top of part so
i'm not able to use a contour because surface goes to deep and also the splines don't make for a good finish .
I need to get about a 63 finish if possible . The machine is a hass . On the trial cut the finish was choppy .
Tried to tighten up tolerance but not much improvement . Also the part is a rush job like most of the stuff
we do .I have never tried machining with a solid would that help at all .Thanks for any help in advance .
The file is saved under ftp://ftp.mastercam-cadcam.com/Mastercam_forum/X9_Files/waterline
