NCI 1027 line - rotation detection in your post

I want to use the WCS and work offsets stuff for tombstone work

You may want to use WCS for tombstone work, but I don't think you REALLY WANT to use WCS for tombstone work.

WCS was created for (and in my opinion should ONLY be used for) doing tool plane/rotary/multi-axis motion on a part that can not be moved out of it's orientation to match the machine set up.

Even if you use the WCS, you still HAVE to use C-planes/T-planes to acheive the rotations in the posted code. WCS merely will redefine "which end is up."

If I'm thinking right, I wanted to create a "start model" of my tombstone with a view for each side that will contain my work offset number. That way all I have to do is set my WCS to the side I want and just use TOP for the tplane and cplane. Sounds simple - but the toolplane 1014 line in the NCI says TOP, the 1013 line has the tool origin, and the 1027 line contains the view and origin I want.

I'm no good with posts so I don't know what to change.

What I suggest if this is something you will be doing frequently is creating a file that has the named views you will need and then importing that job setup. This will make it so you don't have to create your views for every job. Talk to your reseller about getting your post setup correctly. Once that is done your front plane will be your rotary axis zero. This allows you to look at your setup exactly the way it is in the machine and verify it exactly the way it is in the machine. There is a lot to this subject so you may want to look at some application specific training.

good luck
