Post Processor for Fadal

I Need help with a post processor for a Fadal. The rigid tap cycle doesn't seem to do a very good job. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I'm running in the fadal format with the mpfadal2 post and the rigid tap code is incorrect.

Question:

On the cycle selection drop-down list in the tapping operation, which cycle in the list are you selecting?

The 4th one down or the 8th one ?

If not the 8th in the list - try that.

 

IF you are using he MPFADAL2.PST from the release CD the 8th cycle in the list should say something like -> Rigid Tap G84.1/G74.1

 

If the 8th selction reads -> MISC #2

You are either: Not running the 'real' MPFADAL2.PST or you are missing the MPFADAL2.TXT file

The 8th selection says Misc. #2. So, I suppose that I should try to reload the post from the version 8.1.1 CD again.

Did you try running it? It should be good.

 

The G4P1000 is a dwell to allow the coolant pump to come up. The older fadals had a delay between when the pump started and the coolant stream came up to pressure. Without the delay, you could start cutting dry: not good especially for taps.
