Well I have a custom post and I have no idea how to get it to be the active post in surfcam. Not sure which files to put where. The computer was set up and running when I took the job and it has since crashed so now I have to get it set up on a new computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I sure do miss using MasterCam.
Still here for now and I would like to thank everyone for all the great information, tips, and tricks that I have picked up along the way. This is a forum that is second to none.
Thanks for the reply Mold100. Im sure it will be a big change for me. It will be mostly 5 axis programming. Im looking at it as being a chance to learn another software.
I have a great opportunity to change jobs. The only problem is they use surfcam. I just want to know how close is surfcam to mastercam? Will it be close enought that the learning time will be minimal or big enough that it will take a long time? Any replies will be appreciated. Dont send the flame thrower this way, I have no choice on their software.
I am looking to retro fit a new bridgeport style mill and just wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions on what to go with. I have not had much experience with the retro fit mills. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
We just got one here at the school with live tooling, It seems to be a pretty good machine. I will let you know for sure in about six months. If it holds up in school it will hold up any where.
I had a problem with mine when i first started using it with version 8. I had to uncheck the (I think it is) create arcs in the filter. Stopped all the problems.
