error loading service pak

Hey Guys,

New to fourm and to using X. I tried to run servicepak001updat003 and came up with the error:

1) Internal Error 2715.cmax.dll

After clicking OK the second error:

2)Error-1603 Fatal error during installation

Consult Windows installer help(Msi,chm) or MSDN for more info.

Our in house IT was no help!

Any siggestion? Thanks in advance, Jack

1603 is an MSI error that usualy means that the installer was looking for somethign and wasn't able to find it. Did you install SP1 before trying to update with SP1 patch 3?

Got the same error at a customers site. You have to run SP1 first. Then run the SP1 Update 3 patch.
