That’s my next issue. I am running a Mori Seiki DuraVertical 5080. It’s a good size machine but I reading the manual right now to try and figure out there synchronized tapping cycle and hp range.

Thanks John, It is a cutting tap (spiral), programming in metric and only have to go about 70mm deep. I have not visited the forum in a while but what happened to the Patriot's logo? John

I have to push a 30mm x 3.5 tap thru a block of 1018 CRS, any recommendations on speeds and feeds? I'm running a Mori Dura Vertical. I have no experience with metric taps and since this is so large I would like a second, third or fourth opinion. Right now I have it programmed for 2100.0 feed at 600 rpm. Thanks

Has anybody ever had any experience(good or bad) with these machines? OKK Machine Tools. (www.okkcorp.com) I have been told that they are "top of the line Japanese machine tools" Any input would be helpful. Thanks

I know this is a simple/stupid one but here goes! Yesterday when I opened up MCX MR1 Mill 3 Solids, the background in my operation manager was a dark blue. Looks pretty cool but it's hard to see the black tool icon. Im not sure what I did to get it this way and Ill be D#@$ed if I can figure out how to get it back. I looked under Settings/Config/Colors but didn't see anything that applied to the op manager. How do I return it to a white background? Thanks, John

I just recently started to run X MR1. One function that I haven’t been able to find and I used to use quite often in 9.1 is the curve to arcs. I would use this to convert splines to an arc. I just brought in an iges file and I ended up with a bunch of nurb splines. When milling contour the mill jerks it way through all the little moves. Any suggestions on how to smooth it out would be appreciated.

I tried to run servicepak001updat003 and came up with the error: 1) Internal Error 2715.cmax.dll After clicking OK the second error: 2)Error-1603 Fatal error during installation Consult Windows installer help(Msi,chm) or MSDN for more info. Our in house IT was no help! Any siggestion? Thanks in advance, Jack
