I'm wondering if anyone has gone through mastercam training or streamingteacher or any other type of training system.

 

The users will be a little bit above the average mastercam user.

 

I would like input about what is the best way to go about this.

There are a number of training opportunities out there. It really depends on what you are looking for and what medium makes most sense for you to use.

 

You could look at your local college, your Mastercam reseller, pick up books and multimedia videos to learn on your own or see if an online course is right for you.

 

Ultimately you have to look at each one's benefits and drawbacks. If you choose an online course, are you OK with not having access to those resources after your time period is up?

 

Are you looking for a one-time fee or a continual subscription?

 

Do you see value in having both a text and media content? Having an instructor physically in front of you to ask questions?

 

Ultimately the choice is yours. Searching the forums will bring up many testimonials of people that have used/done different courses.

Our customers have had alot of success with the Mastercam Certification which as grown into the online version Mastercam U:

They supplement the online training with the various inhouse tutorials. We have found this to be a very powerful combination for getting up to speed quickly, and being able to also get into the "deeper" levels of the software's capabilities.

Personally I think the videos at http://www.eapprentice.net are rather fabulous. It's the best $25.00 a month I've spent in a long time.
