the plate to machine is 1.0 think. it covers most of the machine table so i can put 2 clamps on each end and a couple across the front. There are 15 or so pockets roughly 3''x5'' with 1/2 rads, dowels, and drilled holes.
im more concerned about the pockets. What ideas can you guys give me to get the material out of there in a hurry.. drill out the center then use a 1/2 3flute carbide endmill with multi pass option, working from the center out? or would contouring the entire pocket with ramp option be more realistic?
Hi all,
I just tried to use prodrill with .stl stock for two blocks with different h.t's. It did not notice that i was using stock and made all the programs as if there was no stock. (ie:centerdrilling in pockets) I do not want to centerdrill in pockets as those are the last things we do (drilling before milling). what is my alternative for this?
Isolating one block on its own level, update stock (all surfaces) and running prodrill, then doing the same for the next block, then merge the programs togther??
I'm wondering if anyone has gone through mastercam training or streamingteacher or any other type of training system.
The users will be a little bit above the average mastercam user.
I would like input about what is the best way to go about this.
thanks
we use guhring drills up 1.5'' dia. make sure you get the reccomendations for speeds and feeds for the type of material from your local guhring rep. They are not very forgiving, and the inserts arent cheap!
im trying to accomplish this is one post thad.
i'm almost there, just need to get the filesnames right.
iv searched for this through the site and was not able to get it working, i wonder if becuase i found such old topics if its not for the new version of mastercam (x3). maybe it needs something a little different in the code?
If your using mpmaster with x2 or x3, do a search about your topic within the last week or two and you will find the info you need, i just had some issues with mine and i was helped.
We used our machines for a good 2 years with the high feed code on at the start of program and the m30 shut it off at the end of program.
The code we use is g05.1 q1. So, it might be a little diferent then yours.
Right now i have it set up with 4 differnt post files, in my control definition file. All i do is switch back and forth from machine to machine.
But, now all i want is one post file for all 4 of my machines.
This is what i want to accomplish,
if machine = 3
sextnc #.NC #NC extension override
if machine 3 is picked then i would like it to not have the .nc at the end of the filename.
is that the right way to do it?
